Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC)

Many women who have had a cesarean desire to birth their next baby vaginally. Although hosptials (and sometimes doctors) often have policies in place that can make VBACs difficult, it IS possible! In fact, attempted VBACs are successful an average of 75% of the time.

My first child was delivered by cesarean section. When I became pregnant with my second child, I spent countless hours researching and learning everything I could about VBACs. I have had two successful VBACs: one in a hospital and one at home. Having walked this path, I can understand many of the desires, fears, hopes, and frustrations that can be part of this journey. As your doula I can support you as you walk your unique path to birth, providing information and empathy.
